【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstherequirementsforrecycledethyleneglycolbaseenginecoolantconcentrateandrecycledpropyleneglycolbaseenginecoolantconcentrateforuseinautomobilesandlight-dutyvehicles.CommitteeD15hasdevelopedthisspecificationusingexperience,knowledgeandresearchfromrecyclingusedaqueousbaseenginecoolantandblendsofusedaqueousbaseenginecoolantandvirginglycol.Thisstandarddoesnotapplytocoolantproducedfromotherglycolsourcessuchasmedicalwaste,distillationbottoms,airplane/airportdeicersandpolyesterproductionwaste.Thisspecificationprovidesaprocedureforevaluatingenginecoolantrecyclingtechnologiesthroughtherecyclingofareferencesyntheticusedenginecoolant.Italsospecifiesthechemical,physical,andperformancerequirementsfortherecycledglycolbaseenginecoolantconcentratethatisproducedfromthatprocedure.Whenusedat40to70volume%inwater,itwillfunctioneffectivelyduringbothwinterandsummer.Thismaterialisintendedtoprovideprotectionagainstfreezing,boiling,andcorrosioninautomobileorotherlight-dutyservicecoolingsystems.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareapproximateequivalentsandprovidedforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
