【摘要】:Conformancetothisguidewillreducechancesofmisunderstandingbetweensuppliersandusersofpressure-sensitivetapes.Itisrecommendedthatthisguidebereferencedwherewidthsandlengthsofpressure-sensitivetapesarestated,suchasincontracts,orders,advertisements,andlabeling.1.1Thisguideprovidesguidelinesforwidthsandlengthsofpressure-sensitivetape,includingtolerancesandlabelingintheinch-poundandSIsystems.Itisnotintendedfortapesusedformedical,surgical,orlabelstockpurposes.1.2Unitsstatedintheinch-poundsystemfollowedbyacalculatedunitintheSIsystemaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandardandshouldnotbeinterchangeablewithunitsstatedintheSIsystem.Theunitsstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
