【摘要】:Thedeterminationoftotalmoistureisimportantforassessingthequalityoffuels.Watercontentwillaffecttheheatingvalueoffuelsdirectlyandcancontributetoinstabilityintheoperationofanindustrialfurnace.Additionally,highwatercontentscanpresentmaterialhandlingandstorageproblemsduringwintermonthsorincoldenvironments.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationbyKarlFischer(KF)titrimetryoftotalmoistureinsolidorliquidhazardouswastefuelsusedbyindustrialfurnaces.1.2Thistestmethodhasbeenusedsuccessfullyonnumeroussamplesofhazardouswastefuelcomposedofsolvents,spentoils,paints,andpigments.Theexpectedrangeofapplicabilityforthistestmethodisbetween1.0and100%;however,thisevaluationwaslimitedtosamplescontainingapproximately5to50%water.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
